TERRA VITIS
Since 5 years our wines are labelled TERRA VITIS.
This label represents that vineyard is managed with an entirely respect for its environment. This strict method based on the observation, the nature's balance respect and a complete traceability applied to the whole production. An independent organism, the BUREAU VERITAS, is charged to audit and to follow all production's stages and gives their assent by the end of the year.
Our action follows three main lines:
1) Treatments:
A need of treatment is carefully decided with a group of winemakers and technicians by checking sanitary condition of the vineyard. Following requirements fixed beforehand, if threshold of disease is reached and that it represents a risk for the quality and yield, we use biodegradable and non-persistent treatments, respecting the vineyard and the predators.
2) Manuring:
All green manure and enriching agents are supply to the vineyard after soil and leafstalk analysis. We always opt for organic matter without phytosanitary residual rather mineral fertilizers.
3) Yield:
Yield evaluation starts in June. If it threatens to be excessive, is strictly limited by a green harvest in order to assure a good maturation of the remaining grapes and quality of the future wine.
